Photoshoot edited - Party rooms.

The editing on this photo is a lighting effect in photo shop, which makes the on-looker focus on the cigarette. By doing this it makes the rest look darker, and the dark edges frame it helping draw their eye in. The red and blue balloons I have used because they are the colours of  the Union Jack flag also the balloons relate back to the idea of combining a tea party into this scenario. The very faint bottles are there to show been drinking concluding she could be passed out on the floor. The pose works because it is natural and doesn't look posed.

This image has been edited with the same lighting effect however instead of having it focus on the cigarette it focuses on the bottles. This concludes that she has been drinking and relates back to the idea of rebellion. This is emphasised by the tattoos on her wrist. This image needs some cropping done as on the top of it you can see ceiling the ceiling and it stands out drawing the attention away from the model. The colours in the image are all the same red white and blue - the bunting, the floor, the balloons and the paper chains.

This image is the same as the ones about have it has slight lighting on cigarette, meaning that it is  more subtle but the attention and the focus still goes to the cigarette and the idea of rebellion. This is emphasised by the lighting of the tattoo. The camera angle of being laid on the floor (her perspective) works well and gives it a unique twist. If I was to do this image differently to make it more effective I would give it a more blurred depth of field.

This image has been edited to have dark corners which leads the on-lookers eye in, and to the main three things of this image, the cigarette, tattoo and drink (the idea of rebellion.) The drink bottles are too dark and need to be slightly lighter, whereas on the other hand the cigarette is too light and you lose the end of it to the hand. This image has had to much editing on it, leading to slight pixelation. 


This image has once again had a lighting effect on it, I was trying different ones to find out what work best. This emphasised the tattoo and drink which is the whole is the idea of rebellion. I have tried to think about the props I used to link into my two themes and the model I used because she has the two tattoos on her wrist. The drink had bubbles *as fizzy* which shows that it is drink but also it adds texture to the image, they could have been captures better. The colours are two of the ones on the Union Jack -red and blue.

The darker corner draws eyes in and frame the pictures, it also emphasise the main aspect of this image, the drink, balloons and the models face. There has been a lighting effect added to help the focus be on the bottles and her face. The bunting in the background contrasts with  the colours of the balloons, walls, floor and bottles.



This image is a close up of the one above. This helps the focus be on the models face, balloons and bottles.  The blurred depth of field works well because you can still tell the bunting is bunting. The light reflecting off the balloon works because it gives the image texture, this is the same for the creases in the bottle lid, this has worked really well and gives it so much texture. The pose looks natural and not as if she has been places there. The only aspect which doesn't work is the shadow on the floor.

The way this image has been edited it by, cropping the left hand side and there was a little bit of background, which detracted the focus from the centre. increased the saturation, contrast, and brightness to make the colours brighter and make the image a more rounded picture.  The reflection in the window works well because it is like an image inside an image. The tattoo and drink link into my theme of rebellion and that is the main focus. The window frame, frames the picture and the arms works as a leading line to the drink to emphasise the point.

This image is the same as above apart  it has been edited in black and white To make this stronger, I have increased the contrast and saturation, to make the black blacker and white whiter, so its stronger. This gives the image a grunge feeling which adds to the rebellion theme, also to emphasise this it is dark which teenagers are stereotypes as.

This image is effective in black and white because it means the focus is on the window and the cracks add texture to the window. This makes it look like she smashed it as he foot fits perfectly in the window. The glass on the floor makes it looks like it has just been done. Having the dress with the leg showing and the heels shows she is a teenager and the rebellion of her.




This image has had a higher contrast and saturation. This highlights the glass on the floor, the dress and the cracks in the window. The leopard print is related back to teenagers and prostitutes (stereotypically).







This has been cropped in so the focus is on the window and the heels. By having it such a tight crop the main focus is the only thing you can see, not get distracted. The cracks of the window add texture to the window and make them seem real. The darkness of the image highlight the lightest point of it - the smashed centre.





This image has been edited by having two focus colour / a focus section. How I did this was on photo shop, by making on version of the original black and white and highering the contrast. The with the other version highering the contrast of the colours so they are more vivid. Then I used the magnetic tool to go around the arm and pen then copy and pasted it to the black and white version to create the focus point.  The graffiti ties into my theme of rebellion and is a very strong point. This image works well with a blurred depth of field. The pen works as a leading line drawing you eye into the graffiti.

Photoshoot Edits - two people drunk.

This image is so natural, it doesn't look posed ( it wasn't) and I have managed to capture the perfect smile. The boarder is a focus point and draws your eye into the image. There isn't a main focus of this, all the element complement one another and the image works well. The colours relate back to my idea of Britain and the Union Jack- red white and blue. This is emphasised by the paper chain, the plates, the bottle, the jumper, the walls, the models hair and the things the model is wearing. The only problem with this is that it is slightly pixelated, if you look at the wall or table.

This is one of my favourite images because it is so fun. You can tell it has been posed but I didn't tell her to do that, it just happened and it made the image look full of life. This fits my brief because of the bottle, paper chains and the union jack. It makes it look like a tea party with a twist- the alcohol and the pose. I have chosen to edit this with a focus colour because I thought it would make it stand out more and it has worked. The Union Jacks are now the main focus emphasising my theme. By having three of them makes it stand out more. I have tried to make them into a triangle so neither of them stand out more.

The blurred depth of field work well because the shoes are in focus showing this girl is on the floor however the arm, is out of focus, as well the paper chains and bunting are blurred. The aspect which doesn't work for this image is how  you can see a little bit of ceiling at the top left hand corner. This detracts from the main focus because it is a different colour to the rest of the image so stands out. All the colours complement one another because they are the same and they are the ones of a Union Jack - red white and blue. All of my props are these colours.

This is  the same image as above apart from focused depth of field is in focus. There is more focus on the arm and you can now see the tattoo. Personally I prefer the one about, because The props are out of focus and they detract away from the main idea - which is the heels and the idea that she is on the floor.

The posing of this image doesn't work. It needs to be cropped to get rid of the hair in top right hand corner. There is too much red (the floor and the balloon,) It should have been a white balloon so then it would have been all 3 colours not just the two. The props work because they show both of my themes in a simple way. The balloon is the idea of a kids tea party and childhood, where as the drink is the idea of teenagers drinking and the tattoo shows the rebellion. To improve this image it needs to be thought out a lot more, with better posing.

The posing in this photo works well because she is behind the bunting so it is quirky. The bunting is complimented by the colours because of the wall and floors. There is one aspect I should have got rid of when posing it however I didn't notice they were there - my shoes are in the corner.  The posing of this image is the strongest aspect.

The posing of this image is very effective because it is so simple, it just needed cropping left hand side, where you can see the model's hair, and the little blue section on the bottom left hand corner.  Then to make a focal point out of the tattoo by adding lighting effect. The creases on the champagne bottle give the picture texture and so does the dark section of the flooring. With a little bit of editing this image could be stronger.  

This image needs the same editing as above, just simple cropping, to the left hand side to get rid of hair and then lighting effect on the tattoo or cigarette to make more of a focal point out of it. I have posed the model to hold to cigarette backwards to make it unique and quirky. But also to make her seem drunk and as if she doesn't fully understand what she is doing.

The posing is a bit too much and looks too posed. Not natural. The angle is too high up and would look a lot better from the floor. The cropping is too tight and on the model however there is too much background around her it doesn't look correct. There needs to be more of a  focus on the model's tattoos, the  drink and the cigarette. If I was to redo this image I would get rid of the balloons as it detracts away from the focus.

The angle works so well! It is from  her point of view (on the floor) and this emphases the pose which she is in.The balloons look really effective for the fun element and the light reflecting of them gives them texture to the image. The blurred depth of field makes the model the main focus and stand out more. In the bottom left hand corner there is a slight shadow however it might be a too tighter crop around the model.

This posing is very effective and is emphasised by the blurred depth of field. All the colours complement each other because they are the same, red white and blue, the colours of the Union Jack. The bunting, paper chains, balloons, walls, floors and bottle. The only other colours are the benches which work because they make it look like a kids area and a bit of fun. The aspect that doesn't work about this image is the little bit of ceiling on the top left hand corner but that can easily be cropped out without effecting the whole image.

Once again the aspect which doesn't work according to this image is the ceiling on the left hand corner. This photo would be improved by having a blurred depth of field. So the bunting and paper chains are out of focus so you just get the colours and the shapes. The angle of this photo is slightly to low because you can't see the second bottle clearly. Every element  that I wanted to included is, which shows my themes and this makes them stronger.

The only red balloon is under face which is very bad posing on my behalf because the light reflect off it and make the models face look redder that what it actually is. This image is to 'nice' and not what I was going for. It doesn't show anything about teenage rebellion or tea parties so it doesn't work for my themes.

The pose of this is so unique however it works so well. It shows my theme off well that she is passed out on the floor. If I was to redo this I would have just added in a bottle of something to strengthen my theme a bit more because at the moment she looks like she is just laid on the floor. The heels strengthen this point of rebellion and so does the dress where it is so short. The colours complement each other because there is just red and white in the image apart from the models dress which is leopard print. The one aspect which doesn't work is the slight shadow under her leg however it was hard to adjust the lighting because I was in a bowling alley so it was harsh lighting all around me I had to find things to reflect it off.

The alcohol lined up in background shows the idea that she has been drinking however is still subtle and not the main focus. The benches are wonky and not straight to make it look like something has happened in there. The bunting and paper chain stand out and make the idea of a kid's tea party obvious. The models pose looks posed however natural at the same time and it works well because it looks like she has just passed out on the floor.

Edited photos - the phone box

I tried to do collage, with all my different themes however it didn't work! The tattoo was rebellion and so was the bottle of drink. The tattoo works however the drink doesn't because it isn't meant to be there. There is the Union Jack with the colour.
Without the added on sections this image would look good with the focus section, and how the depth of field is blurred.

I have tried to edit this photo like an advert however keep it simple. The bold red stands out against the black and white of the image.
How I edited the image was to make it black and white and then higher the saturation and contrast to makes it stand out more. I like the image however I don't like the font of the writing, I think I should just get rid of it as it doesn't work. I have used the rule of thirds for this image and it works well.

This image was taken through a glass panel so I got the reflection. I used the magnetic tool to go around the hand and camera, then upped the saturation and contrast so it stood out more against the models fair hair, however so it didn't do that to the models skin or the whole image.  There isn't too much background and that it is light so makes the hair stronger. Only part I don't like are the light leeks, but they are subtle and not very noticeable. Also there isn't a way I could do through the glass without getting them because of the angle of the sun at the time.

The negatives of this image are; the background needs to be out of focus and have a blurred depth of field, but also how the colours don't work and how you can see a vending machine in the background and also bowling pins. The movement of the plate is blurred so takes the attention away from the main focus which is the whole idea. The colours work and complement each other. The paper chain works as leading lines. The drink is rebellion, the splodges on the wall is fun and kids / tea party.

The background doesn't work because of the people walking in it. It just needs to be cropped in. All the plates complement each other and relate back to my theme. The pose is fun and relaxed. This is what I wanted from this photo shoot - just for it to be fun and a laugh, because that's what tea parties are when you are a kid.

There is too much movement which doesn't work however it shows how natural it is and how I was just trying everything to get some good images. It shows how relaxed this photo shoot was and how it was just fun. There is too much going on table and the box shouldn't be there because it has the deflated balloons in it. All the props on the table detract away from the model. This is the same for the background -   there is too much background and a  person in it.

Here we were just trying different poses to see what happened, what worked and what didn't. As you can see this one didn't but its a bit of fun. There are too many plates  and too much going on in it. The bunting and paper chain compliment the colours on the plate on the splodges. They also work as leading lines and make it a bit of fun. It needs slight cropping on right hand side.

We tried dropping balloons in the background to get an effect. I needed faster shutter speed, to capture them without the blur. The light reflects of the red balloon and makes the models skin look redder than what it actually is. This could be photo shopped out. The poses for the models don't work because they look too posed.

One of the models are blinking, and this image is too posed. I wanted to try and create a natural effect which doesn't work with them looking at the camera. The props  are the best aspect because of the colours and there aren't too much. The balloons are the colours of the flag. The room makes it look like a  kids party and fun.

Here we tried capturing movement by throwing a balloon and headering it. We did it to capture some fun images fun but it  didn't work! It needed to be a faster shutter speed. There is also too much going on the table.

Nothing about this image works - the background, has too much going on and people in it just talking, the pose doesn't work, and neither does the facial expression. One the table there is too much going on at the right hand side. The only prop is the balloon and it does work. This isn't what I was going for and it doesn't work.

Trying something different and unique, to look fun and different. Dint work because the angle doesn't work and nothing works well apart from the background with the bunting and paper chains.

out. . This pose looks casual and relaxed, which is one of the things I was going for because I just wanted it to look fun and as if it wasn't a photo shoot. The props work because of the colours and how they relate to my themes, however there is  too much background which needs cropping.

There is far too much top background on the top of this image which needs to be cropped out. This image looks so casual and relaxed which is why I like it. The colour of the jumper in the foreground match the colour of the red on the wall. There is slightly too much blue in this image it over powers it, however I could change that because of the place I was the table was blue and so were the walls.

This image is very posed, however it looks fun and casual. The lighting is so bad however it was the harsh above lights which I couldn't control effecting the shadows. Also you can tell it's in a bowling alley. There is far too much background because of where she was sat. The balloons on floor detract away from the model. I did try to use the rule of thirds for this however it doesn't really show.

This image looks casual and look like talking however one of the models is looking at the camera which makes it looks posed. Also you can tell it is in a bowling alley because of the screens in the background. The models arm works as a leading line towards the other model.    

Photoshoot the originals - outside and on the balcony

This image has a slight blurred depth of field, this was because I wanted the model to be the main focus of the image and not to be detracted from the background as there is a lot going on in it. The aspect which doesn't work is the shadow on her body. This was unfortunate because of the time of day the sun was behind me which caused this shadow and there was nothing I could do about it because I wanted her to be in the location by the train track. This is a very natural pose and doesn't look like she has been posed by me which is what I wanted. The shadow could be photo shopped out however it would take a bit of time.







This image has the same problem as the one about - the shadow on face, once again the sun was in wrong place and so was I. You can see my hand and the camera on her face. The depth of field works because there is so much in it doesn't take focus away from the model, I would want to train track in focus. The pose looks natural. Having the tattoo slightly showing and having the cigarette relates back to my theme of rebellion. This is also emphasis being so close to the train track.







I tried to capture it with train coming along to set location. This was the best one out of them all, however the facial expression doesn't work. It needed a blurred depth of field because the background takes focus away from the model. The pose look natural however the outfit doesn't look correct in this instance.
The location works with train in background and old look of train tracks. If I was to redo it I would have a different pose.

This is the same image apart from one is more cropped in and the model's hair is done differently for the same pose. I prefer the look of the right image (>) because everything compliments each other, the tattoo and the cigarette and you can't see too much skin, which is the problem with the one on the left. The only thing I like better about the one on the left (<) is the background because unfortunately the hovercraft turned up as I was taking the one on the right, and was in the background - kind of distracting.

Here I tried to do a different pose and something unique where you cant see the cigarette you just get the impression she has one by where her hand is. I personally feel it works really well. It is emphasised because there is a blurred depth of field, so all of your focus is on the model and her hair, but also the aspect about the model which stands out the most in this image is the tattoo which nicely links to my theme of teenage rebellion.

I posed the model sat next to smashed window to give the impression she smashed it and her facial expression shows she doesn't care, relates back to my theme of rebellion. The rotten wood gives this image an  old and decrepit look. To edit this photo, it need slight cropping down the bottom because you can see the models bag. Also I would up the contrast and make it slightly warmer to make the models skin look nicer and it looks quite cold at the moment.  The pose is simple however  there is too much background which takes the focus away from the model. Some leading lines are needed to bring the attention back to her.  

Here is a close up on the bottle to show she is drinking. She is still sat next to the smashed window and she has her tattoo showing. The colour of the blue in the bottle is the main focus, and stands out because all the rest of the colours are dull and simple. The pose doesn't work to well. If I was to redo this I could turn the models wrist a bit more so you can see the whole tattoo and if I was to edit it I would make the bottle a focus colour and put the background in back and white and the bottle is the main aspect I like about this image and the part that works the best.





The angle of this image shows the rotten wood and gives it a grungy look. However you can't see the smashed window because you can see the one underneath it clearly. The model looking up the at the sky shows that it isn't posed and makes it look like that is what she is doing. I didn't want her to give the camera eye contact.

The blurred depth of field makes the focus be on the wall and the graffiti on it. However it doesn't stand out that much because of the shadow of the model's body which is on the wall. This was made by the sun and my camera angle didn't help it. The tattoo is the main focus of this image and could be more of a focus with a lighting effect on it. This is a good idea for the graffiti however it was done in a wrong way.

So I tried it again, using a better angle, to help focus on the graffiti. The facial expression works because it's so serious and looks as if she is concentrating on what she is going. The only aspect in which doesn't work with this image is the shadow on the wall however it doesn't detract too much away from the model and the graffiti. If I was to edit this image I would use a lighting effect on the graffiti and the pen to make that stand out more and make it the focal point.  

This photo links very nicely with my themes because the graffiti and the drink are about the teenager rebellion. If I was to edit this I would crop it slightly just to get ride of the hair on the left hand side and also there is slightly too much green wall on the right hand side. The blurred depth of field works well because you get the vivid blue in the background.This is complimented nicely by the vivid blue of the drink and the pen's colour. The pen works as a leading line drawing the views eye into the centre of the image.

The angle I was going for was, trying to look along the wall. It has works well to an extent because it looks like a line. The blurred depth of field works well and draws your attention inwards. By having the graffiti in front of hand to show the on-looker what she is doing. Once again I have used the pen  as leading line to help the main attention to be the graffiti.

The colour of the drink, which is the main focus is enhanced by having the harsh sunlight behind it. The buildings in the background look so effective and set the location of where she is. Sun giving the light in the right hand side gives the clouds some texture. The blue of the bottle compliments the blue of the sky.

Here I tried doing it along the wall to work as leading line, however the camera went slightly too far to the left. Whats really effective is how the buildings are in shadow so you just get the silhouette of them and not too much detail. The sun looks amazing however the blue of drink fades in with the blue of the sky, there needs to be some clouds there to break is up. I could photo shop this in and it would look a lot more effective.

The capture of the movement from hair gives the image liveliness. The background works well for setting the scene for the location. The sun looks good and the clouds add texture and layers. The pose of the model is simple however she is too dark, needs a bit of lighting on her face to emphasise it.

This one isn't too effective as her foot doesn't fit in hole.The posing of this didn't work, and it is taken from the wrong angle. This image is very strong with the theme of rebellion with black heels and the smashing of a window. The cracks in the window give the image texture and there is a slight reflection in the window which looks broken. The aspect which doesn't work is how you can see a little bit of the dress she is wearing.

The angle of this image doesn't work! I wanted the main focus to be on the foot and the window but the attention goes the model. The outfit wasn't what I was going for however this image is very strong with the theme of rebellion, with the showing of the leg, the tattoo the drinking and the smashing of the window. The reflection in window doesn't work If I was to edit this photo I would either crop out the model or add a lighting effect on the flood and a harsh one at that so that all the attention and focus is on that and nothing else.






The posing works well, as the foot is properly in window and makes it look like the model did it there and then. There is also still the glass on floor which look like just been done. You can see clothes which is a negative and positive. The positive is that its a leopard print dress which is stereotypically associated with prostitutes etc, however teenagers rebelling would normally wear a really short skirt, which wouldn't of been able to see in a photo of a foot. The main focus is on window  and on the foot, I could add a lighting effect to make it more of the main focus.

This image works well in the landscape form.Also where the heel is in the window and there is glass on floor  it makes it a stronger point about smashing the window. The dress looks a lot better like this because it positioned as if it shouldn't be showing the leg but it is. The angle on the camera makes the glass look really textured.

This image needs slightly cropping to the left hand side, then the white window frame out frame the image. The main focus is on the drink and the arm, however I redid it because I wanted the tattoo showing so the model needed to turn her wrist. The reflection in window makes it look like two images in one, a landscape one and one of rebellion. Its slightly hypercritical with the niceness of the see and then the darkness of the rebellion. The reflection in the window is slightly too dark, so if I was to edit this image I would select that section and make it brighter and put the contrast up slightly to the whole image.

Here I have tried the image above again but repositioned the arm to look more natural and also to show off her tattoo. The background which is the reflection is a lot brighter which means it stands out a lot more and looks a lot better with the whole composition of the image.

This image works a lot better in landscape. It needs a slight bit of cropping to the left hand side. Also when I come to edit it I would up the contrast and make the colours a bit warmer because they are looking quite cold at the moment. The reflection in the window works really well with this image. This is my favourite photo and will look a lot better once edited!
